About Me
After seminary, I started a consulting agency to help businesses and encourage Christians to discover their potential through effective Christian outreach. My programs are enriched by my experiences as a juvenile corrections facility counselor, teacher, pastor, business owner, missionary, and foster parent to more than 70 youth. I have taught this Bible study to thousands on four continents.
While on mission projects in remote areas of India, I met grass-root level church planters, many of whom live on less than $1.25 a day, have little or no education, and suffer persecution for sharing their faith. The Lord used this experience to lead me to write the India edition of my book, The Secret of Right Relationships: Overcoming our Old Sinful Habits. I changed the title from Overcoming Dinosaur Thinking because people with little education living in remote areas don’t know about dinosaurs.
Of the 50,000 people who have attended since the inception of Disciples for the Harvest, around 15,000 were grass-root level church planters, evangelists, and church leaders; and the remaining were young believers. They have attended seminars focused on this discipleship training throughout most of the northern states of India since I first went to India in 2003.
I was denied reentry into India in 2011. The Indian immigration authorities refused to give an explanation for the decision, but it appears I was reported by radical anti-Christian Hindu officials who saw the growth of local churches after my visits to their areas. I always used a train the trainer model in my workshops. When I couldn’t return, the Lord blessed me with a few indigenous mission-minded leaders ready to continue the work. I praise God that He used me as a catalyst to start DFH.
I am the founder and director of “Disciples for the Harvest” in partnership with 24:14 World, Advancing Native Missions, and Global Recordings Network. My goal in the USA is to assist you in discovering how God wants you to overcome negative instinctual habits (old sinful bad habits) to help you develop healthier relationships. The profits from the sales of my book, speaking fees, and honorariums go to enable my Indian partners to continue the discipleship training in India.
